Craftsman Tractor Sunshade (Sears model no. 24227)

This sunshade will help you keep cool on those hot summer days when you’re mowing on your Craftsman tractor.
The large shade area measures 34” wide x 43” long x 38” high from the tractor seat. The canopy is made from a HydraVinyl stretch fabric and has an additional rear mesh flap. The large 1.25” diameter tubular steel, 16-gauge powered-coated frame provides solid support for the top. The item boasts easy mounting under the tractor seat and can be used with a bagger attachment. It has a quick disconnect provided by loosening two wing-nuts to remove the canopy top. It’s designed to fit most Craftsman front-engine tractors. This item is a store return and has minor scratches on a few surfaces. The main parts have been inventoried and are complete. Minor parts (e.g., nuts, bolts) have not been inventoried but look complete (see photograph). This item ships in its original box and includes its original manual.

Some tractors may require an additional universal mounting kit sold by Sears (model no. 24240). Also, some online reviewers have mentioned that they added bungee cords or diagonal cross-straps across the back part of the frame to prevent it from rattling. Otherwise, the reviews are uniformly very positive for this sunshade touting its easy assembly and its importance for preventing sunburn often experienced from working unprotected during the day.
